Add to Collection

Hi all, found this site on a google search, fantastic I love the idea of being in touch with other Kindle users.

My query is this, when I add a book to a collection I don't want to see it on the home page, I only want to see it in the collection.  I like to have all my books organised and find it's far too untidy with 6 pages of menu when I just want 1 or so, showing the collections and when I want to read a book I go to the appropriate collection.

I'm up to my 3rd Kindle and am sure in the previous ones when I added a book to a collection it disappeared off the menu page, but not on this one.

Any ideas anyone?

You need to change the sort:  go to the top of the screen and switch from title, author, or most recent to "collections".  Then collections will show first and the only books showing will be those that are, as yet, uncollected.  I'd imagine you did this with previous Kindles and then forgot you'd made the change.
