A worthwhile investment for the small fee of $50. I highly recommend it. As the KFD Book of the Day
(Jan 12/12) my Amazon rank went from #446 in the Kindle store to #289 overall. It also hit #22 on the Movers and Shakers list, #2 Comic and #15 Romance.

Thanks so much for recommending the site David! You rock!!!

That's awesome! Congrats!

My first book, The Fall of Ossard, is featured today.

They gave it a great little write up. I think it's wonderful to see them go to some effort instead of just posting the link. Hopefully I'll get a good push out of it!

So No One Knows You're Here is the Book of the Day for Kindle Fire Dept. And I've definitely seen sales. AND the folks who administer the site are just the nicest people. Really. Here's the link:http://fireapps.blogspot.com/2012/01/gigantic-blast-todays-free-app-plus.html.

Thanks again, David for sharing this great site with us!

Today was my day, and I definitely got sales out of it. It's been a lackluster month for me, so it was nice to see some life on my KDP page again.  Smiley Very happy with the results.

My new novella, Loss, is today's listing at the Kindle Fire Department.  Here's hoping I see a bump!
The little write up is a nice feature.

Good morning, All!

Just wanted to report some great news. I had a sponsorship for The View from Here yesterday at Kindle Fire Department and here are the results.

At 7:00 a.m., my ranking was 38,654 and by the time I left work to go home at 4:00 p.m., I saw this:

#1,972 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

#28 in Books > Literature & Fiction > United States > African American
    #43 in Books > Literature & Fiction > Women's Fiction > Domestic Life

I sold 70 copies as a result and I'm very, very happy. If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend sponsorships over at KFD.

Have any YA authors done this sponsership?  just wondering if you got good results from it.  I know some genres do better than others when it comes to things like this.

I was going to ask the same question!
I'm using YA Reads right now, and it's been going fairly well. I've made my money back plus some with two days left. I'm looking into other YA specific promotions I'll keep you posted!

Hey, guys, my Kindle Fire Dept sponsorship is running today for The Two Crosses down there in the sig.  (See also: http://fireapps.blogspot.com/2012/02/two-crosses-todays-book-of-day.html)

Saw a very quick and hearty uptick in sales this morning and went from 15Kish to 3700ish in my ranking in a matter of a couple hours, (and then my KDP reports and ranking stopped updating, so I'm not sure where it might actually be sitting now), but I would definitely recommend giving this option a shot if you haven't signed up already.

And, like others have mentioned, the KFD folks couldn't be nicer or more accommodating.

Here is the site I used. http://www.yareads.com/
The ever popular Addison Moore has also and is currently using them.

I'm also using http://www.yabookscentral.com/ in March, as their prices are super reasonable! (And my second novel comes out at the end of March)

YA Reads was successful for my 2.99 novel, I have since lowered the price to 1.99 for a few upcoming promotions, as I need to improve my rank.
