Web Bookmark Alternative Tip - KT

Created a Word document and then sent it to my KT.

The document has a number of web sites that I frequently visit as links in the document.

Touch the document to open it.
Touch a link and it will launch the web browser to go to it.
If wifi is turned off it will ask about turning it on first (just like if you go Amazon shopping)

Faster and easier than the browser bookmarks, etc. (which you can't easily--or at all-- the address).

If the site has a mobile or PDA version, it works nice on the KT.  Samples:

Facebook     - link under it is   http://touch.facebook.com   can also try/use   http://m.facebook.com

Google  -  link under it is  http://google.com/m/

Mail2web (nice site to pick up email) -  http://mail2web.com/pda/myaccountname

I'm in Minneapolis so a couple local news sites:

Kare11   - http://m.kare11.com

StarTribune - http://m.startribune.com

MetroTransit - http://metrostransit.org/mobile


etc...

Nice tip, bradh, thanks for sharing!

Note that you can edit the bookmarks in the experimental browser--on the Touch, tap on "Edit" in the bottom menu on the Bookmarks page.  Then tap on the bookmark you want to edit.

On the K4, put your cursor on the bookmark you want to edit and press the right side of the five way controller, then press the center button to select "edit bookmark."

But creating your own list via a Word document is much easier!
