Hi - I'm the new owner of a Kindle Touch.  If this topic has already come up, I apologize.  I tried for several days to get hooked up to my wireless router and the Kindle recognizes it but won't take the password.  I called Amazon and they finally gave up and sent me a new Kindle, but this one is doing the same thing.  I have tried changing the password, unplugging the router and plugging back in and several other things.  The name of the wireless network comes up, but it will not take the password, even though I KNOW I'm putting the correct one in.  Help please.

Hey, Bruce!

Welcome to KindleBoards!

Take a deep breath, and we'll see if we can get this sorted out.

Have you been able to connect any other devices to the router?  Especially since you changed the password?

Something I had to do with my daughter's Kindle was to set up the WiFi settings manually. Anytime I tried to configure it automatically, it wouldn't connect.

What I ended up doing was go into settings and enter everything manually. From the access point SSID to the password. After doing this, it was able to connect. I don't know if that will work for you, but it would be worth a try.
