The Annotated Sandman

I know comics aren't for everyone but Neil Gaiman's classic Sandman series is getting an "Annotated" treatment by editor Leslie S. Klinger
There will be 4 huge volumes each priced at 49 bucks each based on hours of interview with Gaiman

From the few samples that can be found online it looks like a pretty detailed book

So anyway- I know folks get caught up with life and may not even know something like this is out there
Volume 1 is due out this week with a second volume soon and then # 3 and # 4 due out in 2013
All 4 together will cover Gaiman's complete run in the DC/Vertigo comic book series

I like the Sandman comics but $49 a book seems a bit steep.

I had no idea that they were releasing annotated versions of Sandman...that's just awesome!  There are very few graphic novels that could benefit from an annotated release as much as Sandman, that's for sure.
