I really like the Kindle Touch for reading (in fact it's my favorite of my Kindles), but it seems to gather dust non-stop. None of my non-touch screen Kindles have this dust problem. My Apple touch screen devices don't have the problem either.
I'm using the Amazon lighted cover, and I have that same cover on the baby Kindle, which is not gathering dust. So I don't think it's the cover. It seems I'm constantly cleaning the Touch screen with a microfiber cloth, but the dust comes right back. Anyone else have this happening? I'm wondering if it has to do with something related to the composition of the touch screen. I'm also wondering what to do about it....

Yeah. This thing is a dust magnet. I have to wipe mine off about every other day.

No, I wipe my screen occasionally with a microfiber lens cleaning cloth to get rid of any fingerprints. I have not noticed any accumulation of dust/pet hair/lint collecting on the screen. I have an Oberon cover with the wool.

My Touch has a lot of fingerprints but it is not dusty.
My baby Kindle is a dust magnet but I think it is because of the cover.

Yeah mine attracts lots of dust too, but i suspect that is largely due to my lazyness, and not putting it back in it's case after i've used it!

No dust problems here. Mine is in a different cover, but I am getting the Amazon lighted cover. I wonder if the interior of the cover leaves dust specks on it. I'll have to see if mine gets dustier after being in the Amazon cover.

I don't notice a lot of dust on the Kindle Touch cover, just on the Kindle screen. Maybe I should experiment with different kinds of Microfiber cleaning cloths. I have a product iKlear which works great for cleaning fingerprints etc. off my iPad and iPhone, but I'm not sure if it's safe to use it on the new Kindle. Will have to check up on that.

Mine gets dusty, too. It could be the cover or the screen attracting dust in the air.

I realized one thing this morning. I was reading on a non-touch Kindle, and when I saw a few specks of dust, I flicked them off with a finger without thinking about it much. On the Touch I think I've already gotten used to not touching the screen unless I actually want to start some legitimate action. So the small specks of dust would accumulate before I got around to using the cloth.
