I just ordered an Oberon cover for my Kindle DX. Do any of you have one for your DX? Do you like it or does it make the DX too heavy?

I love mine. It looks dead sexy and provides great protection. And with that big screen you need thebest protection you can get.

It's about half as heavy as the DX but I don't find it too heavy.

I had one but passed it on to my brother. . .it was quite nice. . .added a little weight, but not really too much relative to the size/weight of the device already.

I love mine. It is heavier then most covers but not so much that it bothers me. My Mom thinks that I am nuts and is happier with the M-Edge cover I got her.

Thanks everyone. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't too heavy. I want the cover for traveling and I love the feel of the leather. The problem I had with the Oberon for my K3 is that the leather strap in the lower left hand corner rubbed my skin until it wrinkled and was unsightly. I'm hoping the one for the DX doesn't do that too. My DX skin has been on for several weeks now so it might not move. The one I put on my K3 was a fresh application and I think I should have waited a few days before I put it in the cover.

Grin I got stuck with "The problem I had with the Oberon for my K3 is that the leather strap in the lower left hand corner rubbed my skin until it wrinkled and was unsightly."  I had to re-read that sentence a couple of times before reading the rest of the entry.  I literally thought you were referring to your skin (near the wrist) and I started holding my Oberon-covered Nook Color and Nook Classic to see if the lower left hand corner actually rubs my skin... he he he...  I don't have the "sticker skins" hence the confusion...

I think Oberon covers are the best!  I have it for all my readers except the baby Kindle since the cost equals the unit, and I felt like I could just purchase a standy unit instead of a nice cover...

I think Oberons are the most beautiful but they do add more weight than any other covers I've looked at, have or tried.
I don't use mine for that reason.  It's gorgeous though.  Sometimes I put it on when not reading for awhile just to have it as a decorative piece.

I got a good laugh out of this one. I should have read my post more carefully.

I just received my beautiful Tree of Life (saddle color) cover for my DX. It not only fits my DX but it also fits my Acer A500 Android Tablet perfectly. For the tablet, I can turn the cover back and make a stand out of it. Great dual purpose cover.
