I got some gelaskins for Christmas and I chose this one for my Kindle, as it reminds me of the late Anne McCaffrey's Pern series: http://www.gelaskins.com/store/tablets_and_ereaders/Kindle_Keyboard/The_Orion_NebulaWee now just waiting for it to arrive Any tips for applying it? (I got a custom one of my dog who passed recently for my HTC Desire Z )

Enjoy your new skin! I love skins but always have a terrible time applying mine without getting them all crooked and with bubbles trapped underneath.

If you have the Kindle Keyboard line it up over the keys first. The sides and top should be all lined up then.

Pern series? Is that a book with dragons? It sounds VERY familiar, like a book series I read back in Middle School, but never got to finish. Let me know!

Take your time when you are putting on the skin. Put the back piece on first since you don't have to get around any tricky places and that will let you get a feel for how the skin goes on. On the front, try to line up the hardest spots first - around buttons etc. Again, take your time so you can easily peel it back and reposition a small section if necessary. It's a beautiful skin

Gelaskins go on and come off much easier than any other skin I have used. They have a weave pattern in them that helps with both releasing trapped air and keeping its shape.
Enjoy.
